On this date last summer I ran the Caribbean Sounds 10K in Rock Creek Park, DC. This was a good lesson in always knowing the course; the leaders made a wrong turn and took lots of runners along with them. I figured it out when they did and did not go quite as far off course. This highlights a rare time when it is good to not be the fastest runner.
