This is a shirt from the Mountain Man Triathlon (1/2 Ironman distance) that I did as a team with Jodi (swimmer) and David (biker) on September 29, 1996. It was our first of a number of victories in the team triathlon division. In fact, we are still undefeated (our most recent victory was this summer). Team Strokin', Stokin', & Smokin' rocks!

Here's a shirt from a race I did six years ago yesterday (September 22, 2002).  It was a 5K race in Quince Orchard Park, MD; another race sponsored by the "Two Sooz".

Here's a shirt from a running event from this weekend.  It was called the Ragnar Relay -- a 180+ mile relay with 12 people.  It took us about 26 1/2 hours.  It was tons of fun although the rain made it wet and soggy.

On this date back in 1992 I did a race in Chicago called the Steeple Chase.  It was a five mile race with hay bales to jump over and water pits to go through.  If it looks like I've been awake for the last 36 hours tomorrow's shirt will explain why.

This is a University of Virginia rowing shirt.  Jodi did some rowing there and I'm a fan.  I especially like this shirt because of the cool crew slogan on the back `Our wake.  Your funeral.'

Here's a shirt from the Coors Light Biathlon Series race I did in Chicago on September 23, 1990.  This has also been one of my favorite shirts; it is pretty threadbare in the back and ragged around the edges.

Here's a shirt from a run Jodi and I did this morning: the 'Back to School Classic' 8K race.   It's a hilly course but the last mile is downhill.  Lots of fan support too!

Here's a shirt from the 2003 AVS run which was held in Baltimore.  I did not run the race, but did help Kathy -- the race director -- design and set up the course.  We made sure to put in some good hills!

On this date back in 1999 Jodi and I did the MS Challenge Half Marathon in Washington, D.C.  A keen eye will note that this is first long-sleeve t-shirt appearing on the blog.

On this date back in 1994 I ran the 'Chariots of Fire' half marathon relay (with a team of 6 ... Kristin and Neil were part of the team) in Cambridge.  This is the actual race shirt (see yesterday's post for the team shirt).   I think this is my only international race shirt.

Here's a shirt from a team half marathon I ran in Cambridge, England in 1994.  At least some of the team was from Robson Rhodes which explains the shirt.

Here's another Northern Central Trail 20 miler shirt from 2007 (I ran a PR that year!!).  It looks a lot like the shirt on September 4 but its a different shirt.  On the back its got a cool map of the course.

Since we went to today's Orioles - Twins game for a St. Olaf alumni function it seemed appropriate to pull out some Ole gear.  This is a shirt I got a few years ago from Coach after attending a track reunion.  It's high on my list of favorites -- I wear it proudly to races whenever possible.

On this date back in 1989 I ran the 'Defeat of Jesse James Days' 15K race in Northfield, MN.  It was the fourth time I did that race so there will be a few more such shirts coming up.

This is a shirt from my first half ironman triathlon (September 10, 1995).  It was a 'Brad' race up in Boonsboro, MD called the Mountain Man because of the super hilly bike and run courses.

Today's shirt helps kick off the Vikings season tonight against the Packers.  In order to show support for the Vikes, you should wear purple and refrain from eating cheese.

Jodi and I did the Delaware Diamond Triathlon (sprint version today).  The water was not quite so clear as the White Lake Triathlon swim.   However, it was a fun race, especially since Lindsay, David and Rachelle came out to watch!   Hurricane Hanna had cleared out and we had awesome weather.

On this date back in 1997, Jodi and I did the White Lake Triathlon.   The swim is great because the lake is very clear -- you can watch the bottom move by as you swim!
