Here is a shirt from the Pennsylvania Avenue Mile probably from sometime in 1996. This race goes down Pennsylvania Ave in the direction heading from the White House to the Capitol.

The Secret Message Game

Each month a portion of a secret message will appear, revealed one letter at a time. Other than those letters, the only clues are (1) limericks and (2) doubles. September's letters did not appear clearly on all browsers, so here they are again:

If the letters appearing during a particular month are:

the trick is to figure out a mapping that reveals the message. In this case the mapping is B=A, C=B, D=C, E=D, etc. up to A=Z so that the message is

DAN IS COOL

The double P in the coded version of the message will be part of a bigger puzzle that will help answer a question at the end of the year.
