Year of the Shirt: November 12 (99)

Here is a shirt from a 'Brad' race that I did on November 10, 1996. This was a duathlon (run-bike-run) up at Greenbriar State Park near Hagerstown, MD. As you can see it is getting close to turkey time for shirt designs.

The Secret Message Game

Each month a portion of a secret message will appear, revealed one letter at a time. Other than those letters, the only clues are (1) limericks and (2) doubles. September's letters did not appear clearly on all browsers, so here they are again:

G S V U R I H G K F A A O V

Here is an example:

If the letters appearing during a particular month are:

EBOJTDPPM

the trick is to figure out a mapping that reveals the message. In this case the mapping is B=A, C=B, D=C, E=D, etc. up to A=Z so that the message is

DAN IS COOL

The double P in the coded version of the message will be part of a bigger puzzle that will help answer a question at the end of the year.
